The training is broken into six key initiatives being offered by Lesker University:
New Employee Orientation
New Employee Orientation is designed as a three day program which jumpstarts the new KJLC employee into their role. During the orientation we touch on a wide range of topics including: Corporate Culture, Organizational Structure, Employee Handbook and Benefits, Introduction to Vacuum Technology, Computer Software, and Safety.
With the basic tools of who we are, what we do, and how you fit in to where we are going, each employee will be better poised and able to start off a successful career at KJLC.
The On-Boarding Program is the next step following New Employee Orientation. It is designed for first year KJLC employees or a current KJLC employee entering a new department. It is aimed at reducing time to competency by using several teaching techniques including: manager led training, instructor led training, self-study, job shadowing and manager coaching. On-boarding is a 90 day program that varies by department.
The Technology Training program is designed to improve the technical knowledge of employees at all levels of the business. The courses offered cover a wide range of topics from basic computing skills to detecting leaks in vacuum systems. Vacuum Science is our business and it is important for employees to understand our products and technologies.
The Manager/Supervisor Education program centers around Human Resource laws and KJLC Human Resource policies and procedures. Some of these courses include Harassment Training, Job Descriptions, Performance Evaluations and Keys to Successful Interviewing. This program is a requirement for all Managers and Supervisors at KJLC.
The Leadership Development program is a key initiative designed to develop leaders who will help KJLC achieve its strategic vision. The program focuses on communication, conflict resolution, working with others, leading teams, meetings and projects.
Executive Leadership Development
The Executive Leadership program is designed for the highest potential leaders and senior business leaders at KJLC. This program prepares individuals for running a company department, business segment or business division. These classes are available by invitation only.
